He Frowned ('Abasa)
42 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Stars (Al-Najm) before Destiny (Al-Qadr)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ He frowned and turned away 1 when the blind came to him. 2 But what could tell thee but that perchance he might grow (in spiritual understanding)?- 3 Or that he may accept advice, so the advice may benefit him. 4 Yet you pay attention 5 To him dost thou attend; 6 although thou art not accountable for his failure to attain to purity; 7 but as for one who comes to you, eagerly 8 and fearfully, 9 you pay him no heed. 10 By no means! Verily it is an admonition. 11 Therefore let whoso will, keep it in remembrance. 12 [It is recorded] in honored sheets, 13 exalted, purified, 14 By the hands of scribes. 15 Honourable and Pious and Just. 16 May man be slain – how ungrateful he is! 17 Of what thing did He create him? 18 From a drop of liquid; He created him and then set several measures for him. 19 and then makes it easy for him to go through life; 20 Then He causes his death and provides a grave for him. 21 then, He will raise him when He wills. 22 No indeed! Man has not accomplished His bidding. 23 Let Man consider his nourishment. 24 We let the rain pour down in torrents 25 and cleaved the earth, cleaving it asunder; 26 how We made the grain to grow, 27 And grapes and vegetables 28 and olives, and palms, 29 And dense gardens, 30 And fruits and Abba (herbage, etc.), 31 For use and convenience to you and your cattle. 32 But when the deafening blast is sounded, 33 on that Day each person will flee from his brother, 34 Mother and father, 35 his wife and his children. 36 on that Day, to every one of them will his own state be of sufficient concern. 37 Some faces that Day, will be bright (true believers of Islamic Monotheism). 38 and be cheerful and joyous. 39 And other faces, on that day, with dust upon them, 40 enveloped by darkness. 41 These will be the faces of the sinful disbelievers. 42
True are the words of God the Almighty.

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
