The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
۞ Glorify the name of thy Guardian-Lord Most High, 1 Who creates and proportions, 2 Who measureth, then guideth; 3 And Who brings forth herbage, 4 Then turneth it to russet stubble. 5 We shall now make you read (O dear Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him), so you will not forget. 6 save what God wills; surely He knows what is spoken aloud and what is hidden. 7 We shall take you slowly towards ease. 8 So render good counsel if good counsel will avail. 9 The reminder will be received by him who fears (Allah), 10 but the wretched will turn away from it. 11 The one who will enter the biggest fire. 12 In which he will neither die nor live. 13 He who purified himself shall prosper, 14 and remembers his Sustainer's name, and prays [unto Him]. 15 But you prefer the worldly life, 16 although the life to come is better and more enduring. 17 This is what is written in the ancient heavenly Books, 18 the revelations of Abraham and Moses. 19
