The Key (Al-Faatehah)

7 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Hidden Secret (Al-Muddath-thir) before Thorns (Al-Masad)

In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful 1

All praise is due to God alone, the Sustainer of all the worlds, 2 The Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful. 3 The Only Owner (and the Only Ruling Judge) of the Day of Recompense (i.e. the Day of Resurrection) 4 Thee do we worship, and Thine aid we seek. 5 Show us the straight way, 6 The path of those whom Thou hast favoured. Not of those on whom is indignation brought down, nor of the astray. 7

True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
