The Bee (Al-nahl)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ The decree of God is at hand, so do not seek to hasten it. Holy is He, and exalted far above what they associate with Him. 1 He sends down the angels with the Spirit of His command upon whomsoever He will among His servants, saying: Give you warning that there is no God but I; so fear you Me! 2 He created the heavens and the earth in truth; high be He exalted above that they associate With Him! 3 He created man from a sperm-drop; then at once, he is a clear adversary. 4 And the cattle He created for you. In them, you have warmth and other uses, and of them you eat. 5 And in them is your elegance, when you bring them home at evening, and when you leave them to graze. 6 They carry your loads to places which you could otherwise not reach without great hardship, surely, your Lord is compassionate and merciful, 7 And horses, and mules, and asses, for you to ride, and as an adornment; and He creates what you know not. 8 The straight way leads to God and there are ways which deviate from the right course. If He so wished, He would guide you all. 9
