The Believers (Al-Mu' minoon)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
۞ The believers must (eventually) win through,- 1 those who, in their Prayers, humble themselves; 2 who avoid whatever is vain and frivolous; 3 pay their religious tax 4 those who safeguard their chastity 5 save from their wives and what their right hands own then being not blameworthy 6 But whoso craveth beyond that, such are transgressors - 7 And those who keep proper regard for their trusts and their pledges. 8 and who guard their Prayers. 9 Such are the inheritors 10 Who will inherit al-Firdaus. They will abide therein eternally. 11 Verily We created man from a product of wet earth; 12 Then placed him as a drop (of seed) in a safe lodging; 13 Then fashioned We the drop a clot, then fashioned We the clot a little lump, then fashioned We the little lump bones, then clothed the bones with flesh, and then produced it as another creation. So blessed be Allah, the Best of creators! 14 Then verily, thereafter, ye are sure to die. 15 Again, on the Day of Judgment, will ye be raised up. 16 We have created seven ways above you; of Our creation, We are never inattentive. 17 We send down water from the sky in determined measure, and store it up in the earth; and We have power to drain it away. 18 Then We brought forth for you therewith gardens of date-palm and vines; for you therein are fruits many, and thereof ye eat. 19 Also, a tree which grows on the Tor of Sinai and gives oil and relish for its eaters. 20 There is a lesson for you concerning cattle. We provide you with drink from their bellies and many other benefits. You can consume them as meat. 21 And on them, as well as in ships, ye ride. 22
