And recite to them the news of Abraham, 69 When he said unto his father and his folk: What worship ye? 70 They answered: We worship idols, and we remain ever devoted to them." 71 'Do they hear you when you call on them' He asked. 72 or can they benefit or harm you?" 73 They said: Nay, we found our fathers doing so. 74 He said, "Do you see these - whom you worship?" 75 and what your grandfathers worshipped 76 "For they are enemies to me; not so the Lord and Cherisher of the Worlds; 77 Who created me and Who guides me; 78 and He gives me to eat and drink, 79 and heals me when I am sick. 80 "Who will cause me to die, and then to life (again); 81 And who I aspire that He will forgive me my sin on the Day of Recompense." 82 My Lord: Grant me wisdom, and join me with the good 83 give me a good name among later generations; 84 And place me among the inheritors of the Garden of Delight, 85 and forgive my father, for he was among the astray. 86 and do not disgrace me on the Day when all people are resurrected, 87 the Day on which neither wealth will be of any use, nor children, 88 [and when] only he [will be happy] who comes before God with a heart free of evil!" 89 And Paradise shall be brought forward for the godfearing, 90 and Hell shall be revealed to the misguided, 91 It shall be said to them, 'Where is that you were serving 92 "Instead of Allah? Will they help you or retaliate?" 93 The idol worshippers, the idols, the rebellious ones, 94 and the hosts of Iblis - all together. 95 They will say while they dispute therein, 96 they will say, "By God, we were in clear error 97 When we equated you with the Lord of the worlds. 98 And none led us astray except the culprits. 99 and now we have none to intercede on our behalf, 100 nor a loving friend. 101 Oh, that we had another turn (on earth), that we might be of the believers! 102 Verily there is a sign in this, but many of them do not believe. 103 Surely thy Lord, He is the All-mighty, the All-compassionate. 104
