The Inevitable (Al-Waaqe'ah)
96 verses, revealed in Mecca after T H (Taa Haa) before The Poets (Alshu'araa')
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
۞ When the event befalleth - 1 – and then there will be no one to deny its occurrence – 2 (a calamitous Event) that shall turn things upside down: 3 When the earth is shaken with convulsion 4 And the mountains will be crushed, blown to bits. 5 So that they will become floating dust particles. 6 And ye are classes three. 7 Then (as to) the companions of the right hand; how happy are the companions of the right hand! 8 And (as to) the companions of the left hand; how wretched are the companions of the left hand! 9 And the Outstrippers, the Outstrippers 10 These will be those Nearest to Allah: 11 in the Gardens of Delight, 12 A [large] company of the former peoples 13 And a few of the later peoples, 14 [They will be seated] on gold-encrusted thrones of happiness, 15 Reclining on them, facing one another. 16 (and there) shall wait on them immortal youths 17 carrying goblets and ewers and cups filled with the purest wine, 18 a drink by which their minds will not be clouded nor will it cause drunkenness; 19 And such fruits as they fancy, 20 and the meat of any bird that they may desire; 21 And (there will be) Houris (fair females) with wide, lovely eyes (as wives for the pious), 22 as the likeness of hidden pearls, 23 The reward for what they did. 24 Therein they shall hear no idle talk, no cause of sin, 25 Nought but the saying: peace! peace! 26 And those on the Right Hand, Who will be those on the Right Hand? 27 (will be) among thornless Lote trees. 28 Among Talh trees with flowers (or fruits) piled one above another,- 29 and spreading shade 30 And water gushing, 31 and fruits in abundance, 32 Neither out of reach nor yet forbidden, 33 And carpets raised. 34 Indeed We formed them (the houris and all believing women), 35 And made them virgins, 36 The beloved of their husbands, of one age. 37 For the Companions of the Right Hand. 38

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
