The Hidden Secret (Al-Muddath-thir)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
O the Cloaked One! (Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him) 1 Arise and warn! 2 And proclaim the Purity of your Lord. 3 And thy garments keep free from stain! 4 and defilement flee! 5 and do not think that by doing such deeds, you have done a great favor to God. 6 but unto thy Sustainer turn in patience. 7 So when the Trumpet will be blown. 8 That, at that time, shall be a difficult day, 9 Far from easy for those without Faith. 10 Leave Me with the one I created alone 11 And gave him abundant wealth 12 and sons standing before him, 13 And made several preparations for him. 14 And who yet coveteth that shall increase. 15 By no means! He has been stubbornly hostile to Our revelation: 16 I shall soon constrain him to a hard ascent. 17 Indeed he thought, and inwardly decided. 18 May he be condemned! 19 And again perish he! How maliciously he devised! 20 Then he looked round; 21 Then frowned and grimaced. 22 then he retreated and waxed proud, 23 Then he said: This is naught but enchantment, narrated (from others); 24 This is nothing but the word of a mortal!" 25 I will cast him into Hell-fire 26 And what can make you know what is Saqar? 27 It neither leaves, nor spares. 28 It scorches people's skin 29 Above it are nineteen guards. 30 And We have set none but angels as Guardians of the Fire; and We have fixed their number only as a trial for Unbelievers,- in order that the People of the Book may arrive at certainty, and the Believers may increase in Faith,- and that no doubts may be left for the People of the Book and the Believers, and that those in whose hearts is a disease and the Unbelievers may say, "What symbol doth Allah intend by this?" Thus doth Allah leave to stray whom He pleaseth, and guide whom He pleaseth: and none can know the forces of thy Lord, except He and this is no other than a warning to mankind. 31
