They ask you about the Spirit. Say, "The Spirit comes by the command of my Lord. You have been given very little knowledge. 85 And if We please, We should certainly take away that which We have revealed to you, then you would not find for it any protector against Us. 86 except for Mercy from your Lord; for His favor to you is great indeed. 87 Say, "If mankind and the jinn gathered in order to produce the like of this Qur'an, they could not produce the like of it, even if they were to each other assistants." 88 And certainly We have explained for men in this Quran every kind of similitude, but most men do not consent to aught but denying. 89 And they said, “We will not accept faith in you, until you cause a spring to gush forth from the earth for us.” 90 or that there be a garden of palms and vines for you and then you cause rivers to abundantly flow forth through them; 91 "Or thou cause the sky to fall in pieces, as thou sayest (will happen), against us; or thou bring Allah and the angels before (us) face to face: 92 Or there be for thee a house of gold or thou mountest to the heaven, and we will by no means believe in thy mounting even until thou causest a book to be sent down to us, which we may read. Say thou: hallowed be my Lord! I am naught but a human being sent as an apostle. 93
