The Companions of the Wood rejected the messengers. 176 When Shuaib said to all of them, “Do you not fear?” 177 I am a trustworthy messenger to you: 178 So fear Allah, and obey me. 179 And I do not ask you any reward for it, my reward is only with the Lord of the worlds; 180 ۞ "[Always] give full measure, and be not among those who [unjustly] cause loss [to others]; 181 Weigh on an even balance. 182 And do not withhold from people what belongs to them, and do not corrupt the land; 183 And fear Him who created you and all the earlier people." 184 They said: You are only of those deluded; 185 thou art naught but a mortal, like us; indeed, we think that thou art one of the liars. 186 But in case you are speaking the truth, then make a segment of the sky to fall upon us." 187 He said, 'My Lord knows very well what you are doing.' 188 But they belied him, so the torment of the day of shadow (a gloomy cloud) seized them, indeed that was the torment of a Great Day. 189 Surely in that is a sign, yet most of them are not believers. 190 Surely thy Lord, He is the All-mighty, the All-compassionate. 191
