He it is, Who has made the earth subservient to you (i.e. easy for you to walk, to live and to do agriculture on it, etc.), so walk in the path thereof and eat of His provision, and to Him will be the Resurrection. 15 Are you so unafraid that He who is in Heaven will not open up the earth to swallow you, when it will begin to tremble? 16 Or are you secure of those in the heaven that He should not send down upon you a punishment? Then shall you know how was My warning. 17 And indeed those before them belied (the Messengers of Allah), then how terrible was My denial (punishment)? 18 Do they not see the birds above them flying wings spread out or folded? Nothing holds them aloft but God. All things are within His purview. 19 Or which army do you have that will help you against the Most Gracious? The disbelievers are in nothing except an illusion. 20 Or, who is it that shall provide for you if He withholds His provision? Yet they persist in arrogance and aversion. 21 Can one who walks with his head hanging down be better guided that one who walks with his head upright? 22 Say: "It is He Who has created you (and made you grow), and made for you the faculties of hearing, seeing, feeling and understanding: little thanks it is ye give. 23 Say: He it is Who multiplieth you in the earth, and unto Whom ye will be gathered. 24 They say, 'When shall this promise come to pass, if you speak truly?' 25 Say, "The knowledge is only with Allah, and I am only a clear warner." 26 So when they will see it close, the faces of the disbelievers will become ghastly, and it will be declared, “This is what you were demanding.” 27 Say to them: “Did you ever consider: whether Allah destroys me and those that are with me, or shows mercy to us, who can protect the unbelievers from a grievous chastisement?” 28 Say: "He is the benevolent; in Him do we believe, and in Him do we place our trust. You will now realise who is in manifest error." 29 Say: Have you considered if your water should go down, who is it then that will bring you flowing water? 30
