The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
By the heaven, holding the big stars. 1 by the promised day, 2 By one that witnesses, and the subject of the witness;- 3 The companions of the pit were killed 4 Of the fire (kept burning) with fuel, 5 while they themselves sat around it 6 witnessing what they were doing. 7 They had naught against them save that they believed in Allah, the Mighty, the Owner of Praise, 8 to whom belongs the Kingdom of the heavens and earth. And Allah is the Witness of all things. 9 Surely for those who persecute believers, men and women, and do not repent afterwards, is the punishment of Hell, and the punishment of burning. 10 Verily, those who believe and do righteous good deeds, for them will be Gardens under which rivers flow (Paradise). That is the great success. 11 Indeed the seizure of your Lord is very severe. 12 Indeed, it is He who originates [creation] and repeats. 13 He is the forgiving and the loving, 14 The Lord of the Glorious Throne, 15 and the Most Effective in His decision. 16 Has the story reached thee, of the forces- 17 the armies of Pharaoh and Thamud? 18 But they who disbelieve are in [persistent] denial, 19 While Allah encompasses them from behind. 20 Nay; but this is a glorious Qur'an, 21 Inscribed in a tablet preserved. 22
