We certainly bestowed Our favor upon Moses and Aaron 114 We saved them and their people from great distress; 115 And helped them, so that they became the victors; 116 And We gave them both the Book that made (things) clear. 117 And We guided them on the straight path. 118 And left (their remembrance) for posterity. 119 'Peace be upon Moses and Aaron' 120 Verily, thus do We reward the Muhsinun (good-doers - see V. 2:112). 121 Verily the twain were of Our bondmen believing. 122 Elias too was one of the Envoys; 123 When he said to his people: Do you not guard (against evil)? 124 Do you call on Baal, and abandon the Best of creators? 125 who is your Lord and the Lord of your forefathers?" 126 In response they denied him, so they will surely be brought forth as captives. 127 except Allah's chosen servants. 128 And we left for him among the later folk (the salutation): 129 Peace be on Ilyas. 130 Even so We recompense the good-doers; 131 He was one of Our believing servants. 132 Lot was also one of the messengers. 133 When We saved him and his household, every one, 134 save an old woman among those that tarried; 135 and We destroyed the rest. 136 You pass by their desolate habitations in the morning 137 Or at night. Then how is it you do not understand? 138
