The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
22 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Sun (Al-Shams) before The Fig (Al-Teen)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
By the heavens with constellations, 1 And by oath of the Promised Day. 2 By the witness and the witnessed! 3 the people of the pit were destroyed 4 the fire abounding in fuel, 5 When they were sitting at its edge. 6 And they were witnesses of what they did with the believers. 7 They had nothing against them, except that they believed in Allah, the All-Mighty, Worthy of all Praise! 8 to Whom belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth. Allah witnesses everything. 9 Surely those who tormented the believing men and the believing women and then did not repent, theirs shall be the chastisement of Hell, and theirs shall be the chastisement of burning. 10 Lo! those who believe and do good works, theirs will be Gardens underneath which rivers flow. That is the Great Success. 11 Stern indeed is your Lord's punishment. 12 Indeed it is He Who initiates and redoes. 13 And He is the Forgiving, the Loving, 14 the Owner of the Throne, the Glorious One, 15 Doer (without let) of all that He intends. 16 Has the story of the hordes 17 Of Pharaoh and Thamud come to you? 18 Nay! those who disbelieve are in (the act of) giving the lie to the truth. 19 And Allah, all unseen, surroundeth them. 20 Aye! it is a Recitation glorious, 21 in a Guarded Tablet. 22
Almighty God's Truth.
