Hast thou not seen those who wrangle concerning the revelations of Allah, how they are turned away? - 69 those who reject the Book and that with which We sent Our messengers shall soon know -- 70 When the fetters and chains are on their necks, and they dragged 71 boiling water, and cast into the Fire. 72 It will then be said to them, “Where are the partners you used to appoint?” – 73 Beside Allah? They say: They have failed us; but we used not to pray to anything before. Thus doth Allah send astray the disbelievers (in His guidance). 74 "This is so because you went about exulting wrongfully in the land," (will they be told), "and you were insolent. 75 Enter ye the gates of Hell as abiders therein. Hapless is the abode of the stiff-necked. 76 Therefore be patient (O dear Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him), undoubtedly Allah’s promise is true; and whether We show some of what We promise them, or cause you to pass away before it – in any case they will return to Us. 77 We did aforetime send messengers before thee: of them there are some whose story We have related to thee, and some whose story We have not related to thee. It was not (possible) for any messenger to bring a sign except by the leave of Allah: but when the Command of Allah issued, the matter was decided in truth and justice, and there perished, there and then those who stood on Falsehoods. 78
