The Heifer (Al-Baqarah)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
Alif-Lam-Mim. 1 THIS DIVINE WRIT - let there be no doubt about it - is [meant to be] a guidance for all the God-conscious. 2 who believe in the unseen, and are steadfast in prayer, and spend out of what We have provided them with; 3 And who believe in that which is revealed unto thee (Muhammad) and that which was revealed before thee, and are certain of the Hereafter. 4 It is the pious who follow the guidance of their Lord and gain lasting happiness. 5 As for those who are bent on denying the truth, it makes no difference to them whether you warn them or not, they will not believe. 6 Allah hath set a seal on their hearts and on their hearing, and on their eyes is a veil; great is the penalty they (incur). 7
