Say (unto them, O Muhammad): I am only a warner, and there is no Allah save Allah, the One, the Absolute, 65 "The Lord of the heavens and the earth and all that is between them, the All-Mighty, the Oft-Forgiving." 66 Say: 'This is a mighty message 67 from which you turn away. 68 I had no knowledge of the exalted chiefs when they contended: 69 Only this has been revealed to me that I am a distinct warner. 70 When thy Lord said to the angels, 'See, I am creating a mortal of a clay. 71 and when I have formed him fully and breathed My spirit into him, prostrate yourselves before him." 72 Then the angels, all of them, prostrated themselves before Adam 73 except Iblis who puffed himself up with pride and became a disbeliever. 74 (Allah) said: "O Iblis (Satan)! What prevents you from prostrating yourself to one whom I have created with Both My Hands. Are you too proud (to fall prostrate to Adam) or are you one of the high exalted?" 75 Said Iblis, “I am better than him; You made me from fire, and You have created him from clay!” 76 He said: Go forth from hence, for lo! thou art outcast, 77 And lo! My curse is on thee till the Day of Judgment. 78 He said: my Lord! respite me till the Day whereon they are raised up. 79 Said He, 'Thou art among the ones that are respited 80 Until the Day of the time well-known." 81 He said: by Thy majesty, then, I shall surely seduce them, all. 82 "Except Thy Servants amongst them, sincere and purified (by Thy Grace)." 83 The Lord said, "I swear by the Truth - and I speak the Truth - 84 That I shall fill hell with thee and with such of them as follow thee, together. 85 (O Prophet), tell them: “I do not ask you for any recompense for the performance of this task; nor am I given to affectation. 86 It is nothing but a reminder to the nations; 87 And most certainly you will come to know about it after a time. 88
