He Frowned ('Abasa)
42 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Stars (Al-Najm) before Destiny (Al-Qadr)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ HE FROWNED and turned away 1 Because the blind man came unto him. 2 But what would make you perceive, [O Muhammad], that perhaps he might be purified 3 Or that he might receive admonition, and that the admonition might profit him? 4 As for him who thinks himself self-sufficient, 5 You pay full attention, 6 although it is not for you to be concerned if he remained unpurified. 7 And to him who came to you eagerly 8 and fears (Allah), 9 Of him you are neglectful and divert your attention to another, 10 Nay! surely it is an admonishment. 11 For any one who desires to bear it in mind, 12 upon highly honored pages, 13 Exalted and purified, 14 In the hands of scribes 15 and angelic scribes. 16 Cursed be man! how ungrateful is he! 17 Out of what did Allah create him? 18 From a drop of liquid; He created him and then set several measures for him. 19 Then eased the way for him. 20 then He caused him to die and brought him to the grave, 21 Then He will raise him up again when He please. 22 Nay; but he has not done what He bade him. 23 Let man reflect on the food he eats. 24 We send down abundant water, 25 And We split the earth in fragments, 26 And caused to grow within it grain 27 and grape vines and vegetables, 28 and olives and palms, 29 and burgeoning enclosed gardens 30 And fruit and grass - 31 Provision for you and your cattle. 32 When the trumpet sounds, 33 on that Day a man shall flee from his own brother, 34 And from his mother and father, 35 and from his spouse and his children: 36 Each one of them, that Day, will have enough concern (of his own) to make him indifferent to the others. 37 Some faces on that day shall shine 38 Laughing, joyous. 39 some faces on that day shall be dusty 40 with darkness overspread: 41 those -- they are the unbelievers, the libertines. 42
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
