The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
By the heaven adorned with big stars. 1 And the promised day, 2 And the witness and the witnessed, 3 Cursed were the people of the ditch (the story of the Boy and the King). 4 Of the fuel-fed fire, 5 When they were sitting near it 6 And they themselves are witnesses to what they were doing to the Muslims! 7 And what did they dislike from the Muslims, except that the Muslims accepted faith in Allah the Most Honourable, the Most Praiseworthy? 8 God to whom belongs the Kingdom of the heavens and the earth, and God is Witness over everything. 9 Those who persecuted the believing men and women and never repented, there is for them the punishment of Gehenna (Hell), and for them the punishment of the burning. 10 Verily, those who believe and do righteous good deeds, for them will be Gardens under which rivers flow (Paradise). That is the great success. 11 Truly strong is the Grip (and Power) of thy Lord. 12 Surely He it is Who originates and reproduces, 13 And He is the Forgiving, the Affectionate, 14 Lord of the Arsh, the Glorious, 15 Doer of what He will. 16 Has the story reached thee, of the forces- 17 (The armies of) Firaun and the tribe of Thamud. 18 And yet, they who are bent on denying the truth persist in giving it the lie: 19 God encompasses them from all sides. 20 Nay, but it is a glorious Qur'an. 21 (Preserved) on the guarded tablet. 22
