The All High (Al-A'alaa)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Rolling (Al-Takweer) before The Night (Al-Layl)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
۞ Glorify the name of thy Guardian-Lord Most High, 1 The One Who created, and then made proper. 2 who has ordained and guided, 3 And Who brings forth herbage, 4 then made it a blackening wrack. 5 [O Prophet!] We shall make you recite the Quran so that you will not forget any of it -- 6 Unless God may please. He knows the visible and knows what is hidden. 7 and [thus] shall We make easy for thee the path towards [ultimate] ease. 8 Therefore, keep on preaching as long as it is of benefit. 9 Those who fear will understand. 10 but the most wretched shall avoid it, 11 [He] who will [enter and] burn in the greatest Fire, 12 In which they will then neither die nor live. 13 But those will prosper who purify themselves, 14 and remembers the Name of his Lord, so he prays. 15 Nay (behold), ye prefer the life of this world; 16 although the Hereafter is better and more lasting. 17 Verily this is in Writs ancient 18 the revelations of Abraham and Moses. 19
True are the words of God the Almighty.
