The Believers (Al-Mu' minoon)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
۞ The believers must (eventually) win through,- 1 who are humble in their prayers; 2 who avoid whatever is vain and frivolous; 3 And those who pay the Zakat. 4 And who guard their private organs. 5 except with their wives and what their right hand possess, and then they are not blamed. 6 So whoever desires more than these two – they are crossing the limits. 7 those who are true to their trust, 8 And who guard their prayers. 9 Those are the heirs 10 These are the heirs of Paradise wherein they will live forever. 11 We created man from the finest extract of clay, 12 Then We made him a small seed in a firm resting-place, 13 and then We create out of the drop of sperm a germ-cell, and then We create out of the germ-cell an embryonic lump, and then We create within the embryonic lump bones, and then We clothe the bones with flesh - and then We bring [all] this into being as a new creation: hallowed, therefore, is God, the best of artisans! 14 Then lo! after that ye surely die. 15 Then you will all be raised on the Day of Resurrection. 16 And indeed, We have created above you seven [celestial] orbits: and never are We unmindful of [any aspect of Our] creation. 17 And We have sent down rain from the sky in a measured amount and settled it in the earth. And indeed, We are Able to take it away. 18 Then through water We caused gardens of date-palms and vines to grow for you wherein you have an abundance of delicious fruits and from them you derive your livelihood. 19 as well as a tree that issues from [the lands adjoining] Mount Sinai, yielding oil and relish for all to eat. 20 And indeed there is also a lesson for you in cattle. We provide you with drink out of what they have in their bellies; and you have many other benefits in them: you eat of them, 21 And on them and on the ship ye are borne. 22
