The Poets (Alshu'araa')
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ TA SIN MIM. 1 These are the verses of a Book luminous. 2 You will perhaps kill yourself with anguish because they are not accepting the faith. 3 We could send down from the heavens a sign to them if We pleased, before which their heads would remain bowed. 4 [But We have not willed it:] and so, whenever there comes unto them any fresh reminder from the Most Gracious, they [who are blind of heart] always - turn their backs upon it: 5 Indeed they have denied, so now soon coming upon them are the tidings of what they used to scoff at. 6 Have they not seen the earth, how many We caused to grow in it every generous kind? 7 Indeed in that is a sign, but most of them were not to be believers. 8 And lo! thy Lord! He is indeed the Mighty, the Merciful. 9
