Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
By oath of those that are sent, one after the other. (The verses of the Holy Qur’an or the angels or the winds). 1 Which then blow violently in tempestuous Gusts, 2 by the scatterers scattering 3 Then separate them one from another, 4 Then I swear by the angels who bring down the revelation, 5 Whether of Justification or of Warning;- 6 that whatever with which you have been warned will inevitably come to pass. 7 When the stars are obliterated, 8 And when the heaven is rent asunder, 9 And when the mountains are made into dust and blown away. 10 The Messengers will receive their appointments. 11 For what day is it timed? 12 For the Day of Distinction [between the true and the false]! 13 What do you know what the Day of Judgement is? 14 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 15 Did We not destroy the ancient people 16 and then follow them with the later folk? 17 This is how We deal with the guilty. 18 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 19 Did We not create you out of a humble fluid 20 We then kept it in a safe place. 21 For a known calculated term. 22 Thus have We determined [the nature of man's creation]: and excellent indeed is Our power to determine [what is to be]! 23 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 24 Have We not made the earth a housing 25 For the living and the dead, 26 place on it high mountains and provide you with fresh water? 27 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 28 (It will be said:) "Depart ye to that which ye used to reject as false! 29 Depart unto the shadow three branched: 30 Neither shading nor availing against the flame. 31 Indeed hell throws up sparks like huge castles. 32 (Or) as it might be camels of bright yellow hue. 33 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 34 On that day they will not be able to speak, 35 Nor are they suffered to put forth excuses. 36 On that day, woe would be those who have rejected God's revelations! 37 That will be the Day of Reckoning. Gathered will be (you) and the earlier (generations). 38 If now ye have any craft, try that craft upon Me. 39 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 40
