The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
By the aligners (angels) aligning. 1 By those (angels) who drive the clouds in a good way. 2 and conveying [to all the world] a reminder: 3 Indeed your God is surely only One. 4 The Lord of the heavens and the earth and all that lies between them, and the Lord of the Easts. 5 We have adorned the lowest heaven with the beauty of the planets; 6 With security from every froward devil. 7 they listen not to the High Council, for they are pelted from every side, 8 Being driven off, and for them is a perpetual chastisement, 9 Except him who snatcheth away a word by stealth, and him then pursueth a glowing flame. 10 So ask them if they are more difficult to create, or the rest We have created? Indeed (man) We created from fermented clay. 11 Nay! you wonder while they mock, 12 And heed not when they are reminded, 13 When they are shown a sign, they scoff at it 14 And say, "This is nothing but evident sorcery! 15 What, when we are dead and become dust and bones, shall we be resurrected. 16 And also our forefathers? 17 Say, "Yes indeed, and you will be brought low." 18 It will be but one Shout, then see, they are watching 19 They will say: "Woe to us! This is the Day of Recompense!" 20 (A voice will say,) "This is the Day of Sorting Out, whose truth ye (once) denied!" 21
