Consultation (Al-Shooraa)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
Ha Mim 1 'Ayn, Seen, Qaf. 2 Thus does Allah, the Mighty, the Wise, reveal to you, and (thus He revealed) to those before you. 3 Whatever is in the heavens and the earth, belongs to Him. He is all-high and supreme. 4 Nearly the heavens might rent asunder from above them (by His Majesty), and the angels glorify the praises of their Lord, and ask for forgiveness for those on the earth, verily, Allah is the Oft-Forgiving, the Most Merciful. 5 Those who have taken protectors other than Him, are watched over by God. It is not for you to be their guardian. 6 Thus have We sent by inspiration to thee an Arabic Qur'an: that thou mayest warn the Mother of Cities and all around her,- and warn (them) of the Day of Assembly, of which there is no doubt: (when) some will be in the Garden, and some in the Blazing Fire. 7 If God had willed, He would have made them one nation; but He admits whomsoever He will into His mercy, and the evildoers shall have neither protector nor helper. 8 Or have they taken guardians besides Him? But Allah is the Guardian, and He gives life to the dead, and He has power over all things. 9
