Al-Muddath-thir 2 of 2
Nay, verily: By the Moon, 32 And by the night when it withdraws, 33 by the brightening dawn, 34 Verily, that [hell-fire] is Indeed one of the great [forewarnings] 35 A warning for people -- 36 To any of you that chooses to press forward, or to follow behind;- 37 Every soul is pledged to what it does, 38 Except those of the right hand 39 In Gardens they will question 40 Concerning the culprits: 41 What hath brought you to this burning? 42 and they shall reply, "We were not among those who prayed; 43 "Nor we used to feed Al-Miskin (the poor); 44 and we indulged in vain talk with those who indulged in vain talk, 45 and we denied the Day of Judgement 46 until the Inevitable End [death] overtook us." 47 The mediation of no mediators will avail them then. 48 What is then the matter with them, that they turn away from the admonition 49 As if they were asses taking fright 50 fleeing -- before a lion? 51 Yea, everyone of them claims that he [himself] ought to have been given revelations unfolded! 52 Nay! but they do not fear the hereafter. 53 Nay, this surely is an admonition: 54 So whoever wills may heed advice from it. 55 And what advice will they heed, except if Allah wills? Only He deserves to be feared, and His only is the greatness of forgiving. 56

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
