3/4 Hizb 45
< random >
Noah had called upon Us (earlier). See, how excellent We were in answering him! 75 We rescued him and his people from the greatest affliction 76 And made his progeny survive, 77 And We kept his praise among the latter generations. 78 Peace be on Nuh among the worlds. 79 Indeed, We thus reward the doers of good. 80 He is indeed one of Our high ranking, firmly believing bondmen. 81 Then We drowned the others 82 ۞ And verily of his sect was Ibrahim. 83 When he came to his Lord with a pure heart [attached to Allah Alone and none else, worshipping none but Allah Alone true Islamic Monotheism, pure from the filth of polytheism]. 84 When he said to his father (paternal uncle) and his people, “What do you worship?” 85 Why do you solicit false gods instead of God? 86 What do you imagine the Lord of the worlds to be?" 87 Then he looked up at the stars (they worshipped), 88 and said, "I am sick!" 89 So they departed from him turning their backs. 90 Then turned he to their gods and said: Will ye not eat? 91 "What is the matter with you that ye speak not (intelligently)?" 92 And he turned upon them striking them with the right hand. 93 Then came (the worshippers) with hurried steps, and faced (him). 94 but he said, "How can you worship things you carve with your own hands, 95 While Allah created you and that which you do?" 96 They spoke among themselves: “Build him a pyre and then throw him into the furnace.” 97 And they intended for him a plan, but We made them the most debased. 98 And [then] he said, "Indeed, I will go to [where I am ordered by] my Lord; He will guide me. 99 Lord, grant me a righteous son.” 100 And We gave him the glad tidings of a very gentle son (Ishmael). 101 Then, when (the son) reached (the age of) (serious) work with him, he said: "O my son! I see in vision that I offer thee in sacrifice: Now see what is thy view!" (The son) said: "O my father! Do as thou art commanded: thou will find me, if Allah so wills one practising Patience and Constancy!" 102 Then (remember) when they both submitted to Allah’s command, and Ibrahim lay his son facing downwards. (The knife did not hurt Ismail) 103 And We called out to him: "O Abraham! 104 thou hast confirmed the vision; even so We recompense the good-doers. 105 Most surely this is a manifest trial. 106 And We ransomed him with a mighty sacrifice, 107 And We left for him [favorable mention] among later generations: 108 Peace be unto Abraham! 109 Verily We! thus We compense the well-doers. 110 Lo! he is one of Our believing slaves. 111 And We gave him the good news of Isaac, a Prophet and among the righteous ones. 112 We blessed him and Isaac: but of their progeny are (some) that do right, and (some) that obviously do wrong, to their own souls. 113
