Has the story reached you, of the honoured guests [three angels; Jibrael (Gabriel) along with another two] of Ibrahim (Abraham)? 24 Behold, they entered his presence, and said: "Peace!" He said, "Peace!" (and thought, "These seem) unusual people." 25 Then he went to his family and came with a fat [roasted] calf 26 He then presented it before them and said, “Do you not eat?” 27 Then he conceived a fear of them (when they ate not). They said: "Fear not." And they gave him glad tidings of an intelligent son, having knowledge (about Allah and His religion of True Monotheism). 28 Then his wife came forward, making moan, and smote her face, and cried: A barren old woman! 29 They said, 'So says thy Lord; He is the All-wise, the All-knowing.' 30 ۞ Abraham asked, "Messengers, what is your task?" 31 They replied: “Behold, we have been sent to a wicked people 32 to let loose upon them stone-hard blows of chastisement, 33 Marked by your Lord for those who waste their substance." 34 Then We evacuated there from all the believers 35 And We found not therein more than one house of the Muslims. 36 We left a sign in this for those who fear the grievous punishment, 37 As (there was) in Moses when We sent him to the Pharaoh with clear authority. 38 but he turned his back, with his court, saying, 'A sorcerer, or a man possessed!' 39 Then We laid hold of him and his hosts and flung them into the sea, and he was reproachable. 40 And in 'Aad [was a sign], when We sent against them the barren wind. 41 which turned everything it approached into dust. 42 And in Thamud, when it was said to them, "Enjoy yourselves for a time." 43 They transgressed against the command of their Lord. So a blast of sound struck them and they were unable to do anything but stare. 44 They were unable even to stand up or protect themselves. 45 So were the People of Noah before them for they wickedly transgressed. 46
