By no means! By the moon, 32 By the night when it withdraweth. 33 And by oath of the morning, when it spreads light. 34 it is one of the greatest trials, 35 a warning to humankind, 36 Unto him of you who will advance or hang back. 37 Every soul will be (held) in pledge for its deeds. 38 Except those of the right hand 39 In Gardens (Paradise) they will ask one another, 40 Of evil-doers: 41 [And asking them], "What put you into Saqar?" 42 They will answer: “We were not among those who observed Prayer, 43 and we did not feed the poor, 44 And we used to enter into vain discourse with those who entered into vain discourses. 45 "And we used to deny the Day of Judgment, 46 until certainty came upon us [in death]." 47 The intercession of their intercessors shall not benefit them. 48 What is the matter with people that they are turning away from this Exhortation, 49 As though they were asses startled. 50 Fleeing away from a lion. 51 Rather each one of them desires that he should be given open Books. 52 This will certainly never be the case! In fact, they are not afraid of the Day of Judgment. 53 Nay, verily, this is an admonition 54 and whoever wills may take it to heart. 55 But they will not benefit from it unless Allah Himself so wills. He is worthy to be feared; and He is worthy to forgive (those that fear Him). 56
