Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
I CALL TO WITNESS those who are sent consecutively, 1 by (the angels) as swift as blowing winds, 2 by the scatterers scattering 3 Then separate them, one from another, 4 Then I swear by the angels who bring down the revelation, 5 to serve as an excuse or a warning. 6 Most surely what you are threatened with must come to pass. 7 So when the stars are put out, 8 and when the sky is rent asunder, 9 and when the mountains crumble into dust 10 And when the time comes for raising the little girls (buried alive) -- 11 For what day is it timed? 12 one will be told, "To the Day of Distinction". 13 And what will make you comprehend what the day of decision is? 14 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 15 Did We not destroy the ancients? 16 So shall We make later (generations) follow them. 17 Thus do We deal with men of sin. 18 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 19 Did We not create you from a humble fluid, 20 And We placed it in a firm lodging 21 for a term pre-ordained? 22 See that We had the power to do so. Great indeed is Our power to do what We will. 23 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 24 Have We not made the earth to draw together to itself, 25 Both for the living and the dead, 26 And placed therein high mountains and given you to drink sweet water therein? 27 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 28 'Depart unto that which ye were wont to belie. 29 Go on towards the threefold shadow 30 affording neither shade, nor protection from the flames, 31 Surely it sends up sparks like palaces, 32 "As if there were (a string of) yellow camels (marching swiftly)." 33 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 34 This is a Day whereon they shall not be able to speak. 35 Nor shall they be permitted so that they might excuse themselves. 36 On that day, woe would be those who have rejected God's revelations! 37 That will be a Day of Sorting out! We shall gather you together and those before (you)! 38 If you are cunning, then try your cunning against Me! 39 On that day, woe would be upon those who have rejected God's revelations! 40
