The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ Glorify the name of your Lord, the Most High, 1 who creates [every thing,] and thereupon forms it in accordance with what it is meant to be, 2 And Who has measured (preordainments for each and everything even to be blessed or wretched); then guided (i.e. showed mankind the right as well as wrong paths, and guided the animals to pasture); 3 And Who brings forth herbage, 4 Then made it dry and dark. 5 We shall make thee recite, to forget not 6 Except what Allah pleases, surely He knows the manifest, and what is hidden. 7 And We shall make easy for you (O Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) the easy way (i.e. the doing of righteous deeds). 8 Therefore, keep on preaching as long as it is of benefit. 9 and he who fears shall remember, 10 but the most wretched shall flout it, 11 Who will enter the great Fire and made to taste its burning, 12 Wherein he will neither die nor live. 13 He who purifies himself, 14 And remembereth the name of his Lord, so prayeth, 15 Nay, but you prefer the present life; 16 but the Everlasting Life is better, and more enduring. 17 This is surely in the earlier Books, 18 the scriptures of Abraham and Moses. 19
