The Night (Al-Layl)
21 verses, revealed in Mecca after The All High (Al-A'alaa) before Dawn (Al-Fajr)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
I CALL THE night to witness when it covers over, 1 and the day as it rises bright! 2 and by Him Who created the male and the female: 3 Verily your endeavour is diverse. 4 For him that gives and fears (Allah) 5 And accepts the best, 6 We shall surely ease him to the Path of Easing; 7 And as for him who stinteth and is heedless, 8 And rejects the best, 9 We will make smooth for him the path for evil; 10 His riches will not save him when he perisheth. 11 Surely Ours is it to show the way, 12 and to Us belong the hereafter and the worldly life. 13 I have now warned you of a Blazing Fire, 14 None except the most wicked will enter it. 15 The one who denied and turned away. 16 And away from it shall be kept the one who guards most (against evil), 17 He who gives his wealth to be purified, 18 And none hath with him any favour for reward, 19 Other than seeking the glory of his Lord, most high, 20 and such, indeed, shall in time be well-pleased. 21
True are the words of God the Almighty.

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
