He Frowned ('Abasa)
42 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Stars (Al-Najm) before Destiny (Al-Qadr)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ He frowned and turned away 1 because the blind man approached him! 2 And what could let you know? Perhaps he (comes to hear you) to be purified. 3 or have been reminded [of the truth,] and helped by this reminder. 4 Yet you pay attention 5 You pay full attention, 6 though you are not to blame if he would not cleanse himself. 7 As for the one who comes to you earnestly (striving for guidance). 8 and who has fear of God, 9 you pay no heed to him. 10 Assuredly this is a reminder 11 For any one who desires to bear it in mind, 12 On honourable pages. 13 Exalted, purified, 14 borne by the hands of scribes, 15 Who are noble, virtuous. 16 Cursed be man! how ungrateful is he! 17 Of what thing did He create him? 18 He created him from a living germ. He determined his fate 19 Then doth He make His path smooth for him; 20 Then He causes him to die and be buried. 21 Then, when it is His Will, He will resurrect him (again). 22 No indeed! Man has not accomplished His bidding. 23 Let man therefore consider (the sources of) his food. 24 We let the rain pour down in torrents 25 and then We cleave the earth [with new growth,] cleaving it asunder, 26 And cause the grain to grow therein 27 together with grapes and vegetables, 28 And olives and date palms, 29 And dense gardens, 30 And fruits and herbage: 31 for you and for your animals to enjoy. 32 But, when the Blast comes, 33 That Day shall a man flee from his own brother, 34 And from his mother and his father, 35 And from his wife and sons. 36 Everyone on that Day will have affairs to keep him occupied. 37 Some faces that Day will be beaming, 38 laughing, and rejoicing, 39 but others will be gloomy 40 and covered by darkness. 41 those -- they are the unbelievers, the libertines. 42
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.

Notes and Instructions
When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
