'Lord, open my breast,' said Moses, 25 And ease for me my affair. 26 "And make loose the knot (the defect) from my tongue, (i.e. remove the incorrectness from my speech) [That occurred as a result of a brand of fire which Musa (Moses) put in his mouth when he was an infant]. [Tafsir At-Tabari, Vol. 16, Page 159]. 27 That they may understand my speech. 28 Appoint a deputy (for me) from my own people. 29 Aaron, my brother. 30 By him confirm my strength 31 and let him share my task, 32 so that we may glorify 33 And remember you a great deal. 34 Verily, You have always watched over us." 35 He said: "Moses, your petition is granted. 36 We have bestowed Our favour on you before this 37 Remember when We inspired your mother with a certain inspiration 38 “That, ‘Put him into a chest and cast it into the river, so the river shall deposit it on to a shore therefore one who is an enemy to Me and you, shall pick him up’; and I bestowed upon you love from Myself; and for you to be brought up in My sight.” 39 Recall, when your sister went along, saying: 'Shall I direct you to one who will take charge of him?' Thus We brought you back to your mother so that her heart might be gladdened and she might not grieve. Moses, recall when you slew a person. We delivered you from distress and made you go through several trials. Then you stayed for several years among the people of Midian, and now you have come at the right moment as ordained. 40 for I have chosen thee for Mine Own service. 41 So go forth, both you and your brother, with My Signs, and do not slacken in remembering Me. 42 “Both of you go to Firaun; he has indeed rebelled.” 43 Then say to him a gentle saying; haply he may be admonished or he may fear. 44 Both said: O our Lord! Surely we fear that he may hasten to do evil to us or that he may become inordinate. 45 God said, "Do not fear; I am with you both. I hear and I see. 46 So, go to him, and say: 'Behold, both of us are the Messengers of your Lord. Let the Children of Israel go with us, and do not chastise them. We have come to you with a sign from your Lord; and peace shall be for him who follows the true guidance. 47 for, behold, it has been revealed to us that [in the life to come] suffering shall befall all who give the lie to the truth and turn away [from it]!"' 48 (Pharaoh) said: Who then is the Lord of you twain, O Moses? 49 He said: "Our Lord is He Who gave to each (created) thing its form and nature, and further, gave (it) guidance." 50 [Pharaoh] said, "Then what is the case of the former generations?" 51 He (Moses) answered: 'The knowledge of them is in a Book with My Lord. My Lord neither goes astray, nor forgets. 52 It is He who made the earth a bed for you, and traced for you paths upon it, and sends down water from the sky, and brings out through it every kind of vegetation 53 You eat and let your cattle graze' Surely, in this there are signs for those of understanding. 54
