Nay! By the moon 32 Consider the night when it departs, 33 and the morn when it dawns! 34 Verily, it (Hell, or their denial of the Prophet Muhammad SAW, or the Day of Resurrection) is but one of the greatest calamities. 35 As a warning to humanity - 36 to whoever among you desires to go forward, or lag behind. 37 Every soul is pledged to what it does, 38 Except those of the right hand 39 in Gardens they will question 40 Of evil-doers: 41 “What drove you to Hell?” 42 They will say, "We were not of those who prayed, 43 and we did not feed the poor, 44 We plunged in with the plungers 45 and rejected the Day of Judgment 46 until the inevitable event overtook us.” 47 The intercession of the intercessors shall then be of no avail to them. 48 Then what is wrong with them (i.e. the disbelievers) that they turn away from (receiving) admonition? 49 as though they were frightened wild asses, 50 fleeing from a lion? 51 Is it that everyone of them wants to receive a heavenly book addressed to him personally? 52 No indeed; the truth is that they have no fear of the Hereafter. 53 Nay, verily, this is an admonition 54 So, whoever wills, will remember it. 55 But they will not benefit from it unless Allah Himself so wills. He is worthy to be feared; and He is worthy to forgive (those that fear Him). 56
