۞ Also, We revealed to Moses, saying: 'Go with My worshipers by night, for you will be followed' 52 Then Pharaoh sent among the cities gatherers 53 [bidding them to call out his troops and to proclaim:] "Behold, these [children of Israel] are but a contemptible band; 54 And verily they have enraged us. 55 And indeed, we are a cautious society... " 56 So We expelled them from gardens and fountains, 57 and treasures and a noble station; 58 So it was; and We made the Descendants of Israel its inheritors. 59 At sunrise they set off in pursuit of them 60 And when the two parties saw each other, the companions of Musa said: verily we are overtaken. 61 (Moses) said: "By no means! my Lord is with me! Soon will He guide me!" 62 Then We revealed to Moses: 'Strike the sea with your staff', so it divided and each part was as a mighty mount. 63 In the meantime We made the others approach that place. 64 And We saved Musa (Moses) and all those with him. 65 Then We drowned the others. 66 In this [story] behold, there is a message [unto all men,] even though most of them will not believe [in it]. 67 And verily thy Lord! He is the Mighty, the Merciful. 68

When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
