Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By oath of those which carry away while dispersing. 1 And the clouds bearing a load. 2 by the ships which smoothly sail on the oceans, 3 And those who distribute (it) by command, 4 surely that you are promised is true, 5 and the recompense shall surely happen. 6 By the heaven full of paths, 7 your ideas are confused. 8 Turned aside therefrom is who is turned aside. 9 Cursed be the liars, 10 Who are in a gulf (of ignorance) neglectful; 11 They ask: “When will the Day of Judgement be?” 12 It will be the Day whereon in the Fire they will be burned 13 And it will be said to them, “Taste your own roasting; this is what you were impatient for.” 14 Indeed, the righteous will be among gardens and springs, 15 receiving their reward from their Lord. They had been righteous people before the Day of Judgment. 16 Little of the night they were wont to slumber. 17 And in the dawns they prayed for forgiveness. 18 In whose wealth the suppliant and the deprived had a share. 19 And on the earth there are signs for those who would be convinced. 20 And in your own selves; so can you not perceive? 21 And in the heaven is your provision and that which ye are promised. 22 And by the Lord of the heavens and the earth, it is the truth, even as (it is true) that ye speak. 23
