Al-Zalzalah

The Quake (Al-Zalzalah)

8 verses, revealed in Medina after Women (Al-Nesaa) before Iron (Al-Hadeed)

In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful

When the earth is shaken with its violent shaking, 1 and when the earth brings forth its burdens 2 And man will say: "What is the matter with it?" 3 On that day she shall tell her news, 4 having been inspired by your Lord. 5 On that Day will all men come forward, cut off from one another, to be shown their [past] deeds. 6 And so, he who shall have done an atom's weight of good, shall behold it; 7 And whosoever does evil equal to the weight of an atom (or a small ant), shall see it. 8

Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
