Al-Aadeyaat
The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
(I swear) by the snorting chargers (of the warriors), whose hoofs strike against the rocks 1 by the strikers of fire, 2 And scouring to the raid at dawn, 3 and raising clouds of dust, 4 Cleaving, as one, the centre (of the foe), 5 Surely Man is ungrateful to his Lord, 6 And indeed he himself is a witness to it. 7 And most surely he is tenacious in the love of wealth. 8 ۞ Knows he not that when the contents of the graves are brought out and poured forth (all mankind is resurrected). 9 And that which is (locked up) in (human) breasts is made manifest- 10 Verily, that Day (i.e. the Day of Resurrection) their Lord will be Well-Acquainted with them (as to their deeds), (and will reward them for their deeds). 11
