Al-Baqarah 5 of 40
O Children of Israel! call to mind the (special) favour which I bestowed upon you, and fulfil your covenant with Me as I fulfil My Covenant with you, and fear none but Me. 40 And believe in that which I have sent down confirming that which is with you, and be not the first to disbelieve therein, and barter not My revelations for a small price, and Me alone shall ye fear. 41 And do not confound the truth with vanity, and do not conceal the truth wittingly. 42 Establish worship, pay the poor-due, and bow your heads with those who bow (in worship). 43 ۞ Do you bid other people to be pious, the while you forget your own selves - and yet you recite the divine writ? Will you not, then, use your reason?! 44 Find strength in fortitude and prayer, which is heavy and exacting but for those who are humble and meek, 45 (They are those) who are certain that they are going to meet their Lord, and that unto Him they are going to return. 46
