T H (Taa Haa)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ O MAN! 1 We did not reveal the Qur'an to you to cause you distress; 2 Except as a reminder for one who fears. 3 a revelation from Him who created the earth and the high heavens; 4 The Most Compassionate Lord is settled on the Throne (of the Universe). 5 To Him only belongs all whatever is in the heavens and all whatever is in the earth, and all whatever is between them, and all whatever is beneath this wet soil. 6 And if you speak aloud – so He surely knows the secret and that which is more concealed. 7 Allah! no God there is but he! His are the names excellent. 8 Have you heard the story of Moses? 9 When he saw a fire and said unto his folk: Lo! Wait! I see a fire afar off. Peradventure I may bring you a brand therefrom or may find guidance at the fire. 10 When he came to it, a voice cried, 'Moses, 11 Verily, I am thy Sustainer! Take off, then, thy sandals! Behold, thou art in the twice hallowed valley, 12 “And I have chosen you, therefore listen carefully to what is divinely revealed to you.” 13 Verily I am Allah. There is no god beside Me. So serve Me and establish Prayers to remember Me. 14 Verily the Hour (of the great change) is about to come. I keep it secret that every soul may be rewarded for its endeavour. 15 Do not let those who disbelieve in it and follow their desires bar you from it, or you will perish. 16 “And what is this in your right hand, O Moosa?” 17 He said: This is my staff: I recline on it and I beat the leaves with it to make them fall upon my sheep, and I have other uses for it. 18 (Allah) said: "Cast it down, O Musa (Moses)!" 19 So he threw it - and lo! it was a snake, moving rapidly. 20 (Allah) said, "Seize it, and fear not: We shall return it at once to its former condition".. 21 Now clasp thy hand to thy arm-pit; it shall come forth white, without evil. That is a second sign. 22 We shall show you some of Our greatest signs. 23 “Go to Firaun, he has rebelled.” 24
