And a sign for them is the dead earth. We have brought it to life and brought forth from it grain, and from it they eat. 33 and produced therein grains from which they eat and established therein gardens of palms trees and vineyards and have made streams flow therein 34 So that they may eat of its fruit; yet it was not done by their hands. Then why do they not acknowledge thanks? 35 Glory be to Him, Who has created all the pairs of that which the earth produces, as well as of their own (human) kind (male and female), and of that which they know not. 36 And there is a sign in the night for them. We strip off the day from it and they are left in darkness, 37 And the sun runs his course for a period determined for him: that is the decree of (Him), the Exalted in Might, the All-Knowing. 38 And the moon! For it We have decreed mansions till it reverteth like the old branch of a palm-tree. 39 It is not allowable for the sun to reach the moon, nor does the night overtake the day, but each, in an orbit, is swimming. 40 And a sign for them is that We lodged them in a laden ship, while they were in their forefathers backs. 41 and We have created for them the like of it whereon they ride; 42 We drown them if We will, then they have none to cry to, nor can they be saved, 43 Except by way of Mercy from Us, and by way of (world) convenience (to serve them) for a time. 44 When it is said to such people: “Guard yourselves against what is ahead of you and what has preceded you that mercy be shown to you” (they pay scant heed to it). 45 Yet there never comes to them any sign of their Lord's signs, but they turn away from it. 46 And when it is said unto them: expend of that wherewith Allah hath provided you, those who disbelieve say unto those who believe: shall we feed those whom God Himself would have fed, if He listed? Ye are in naught else than error manifest. 47 The unbelievers say, "When will the Day of Judgment come if what you say is at all true?" 48 They await but one Shout, which will surprise them while they are disputing. 49 They will have no time to make a will, nor shall they return to their own people. 50
