T H (Taa Haa)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
۞ Ta Ha 1 We have not sent down this Qur’an upon you (O dear Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him) for you to fall into hardship! (Either because he used to pray at length during the night or because he was distressed due to the disbelievers not accepting faith.) 2 but only as an exhortation for him who fears God; 3 a revelation from Him who has created the earth and the high heavens 4 (Allah) Most Gracious is firmly established on the throne (of authority). 5 His is what is in the heavens and what is in the earth and what is between them two and what is beneath the ground. 6 Whether you speak out aloud (or in a low voice), He knows what is said secretly, and even that which is most hidden. 7 Allah-- there is no god but He; His are the very best names. 8 And did the news of Moosa reach you? 9 When he saw a fire, he said to his family: "Wait! Verily, I have seen a fire, perhaps I can bring you some burning brand therefrom, or find some guidance at the fire." 10 So when he came near the fire, it was announced, “O Moosa!” 11 "Verily I am thy Lord! therefore (in My presence) put off thy shoes: thou art in the sacred valley Tuwa. 12 "And I have chosen you. So listen to that which is inspired to you. 13 I am God, and there is no god but I, so serve Me, and observe acts of prayer to remember Me. 14 The Hour is coming. I almost conceal it, so that every soul will be recompensed for its labors. 15 Let not the unbelievers who follow their vain desires make you forget the Day of Judgment, lest you will perish." 16 “And what is this in your right hand, O Moosa?” 17 He said: This is my staff whereon I lean, and wherewith I bear down branches for my sheep, and wherein I find other uses. 18 Said He: "Throw it down, O Moses!" 19 and he cast it down, and behold it was a serpent sliding. 20 He said: Grasp it and fear not. We shall return it to its former state. 21 "Now - as another Sign - place your hand under your arm and it will come out sheer white without harm (or stain). 22 So We would show thee some of Our greatest signs. 23 Go thou unto Fir'awn; verily he hath waxen exorbitant. 24
