We sent Noah to his people. He said: "O my people, worship God, for you have no other god but He. Will you not take heed for yourselves?" 23 Then said the chiefs of those who disbelieved among his people: this is no other than a human being like unto you, he seeketh to make himself superior unto you; and if God had willed, He would have sent down angels; we have not heard of this among our fathers ancient. 24 He is only an insane person. Wait for some time. Perhaps he will come to his senses." 25 Noah said: "My Lord! Come to my help at their accusation that I am lying." 26 Thereupon We revealed to him, saying: "Build the Ark under Our eyes and according to Our revelation. And when Our command comes to pass and the oven boils over, take on board a pair each from every species, and also take your household except those of them against whom sentence has already been passed and do not plead to Me on behalf of the wrong-doers. They are doomed to be drowned. 27 When you and all your followers have settled in the Ark, say, "Praise be to God who has delivered us from a wicked people," 28 Say, "Lord, grant us a blessed landing from the Ark; You are the One who provides the safest landing". 29 Indeed, surely in this are signs and indeed surely, We were examining. 30 Then, after them, We created another generation. 31 And we sent among them a messenger of their own, saying: Serve Allah, Ye have no other Allah save Him.
