The Poets (Alshu'araa')
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ Ta-Sin-Mim. [These letters are one of the miracles of the Quran, and none but Allah (Alone) knows their meanings.] 1 THESE ARE MESSAGES of the divine writ, clear in itself and clearly showing the truth! 2 It may be that you (O Muhammad SAW) are going to kill yourself with grief, that they do not become believers [in your Risalah (Messengership) and in your Message of Islamic Monotheism]. 3 Had We so willed, We could have sent down unto them a message from the skies, so that their necks would [be forced to] bow down before it in humility. 4 Whenever there comes to them any fresh warning from the Merciful, they always turn their backs on it: 5 Now they have denied (the Truth); but there will come unto them tidings of that whereat they used to scoff. 6 Do they not look at the earth,- how many noble things of all kinds We have produced therein? 7 Most surely there is a sign in that, but most of them will not believe. 8 Surely thy Lord, He is the All-mighty, the All-compassionate. 9
