Hizb 46

And Jonah too was one of the Messengers. 139 He abandoned his people 140 and sailed away in a laden ship, wherein people cast lots. Because he lost, he was thrown into the water. 141 [and they cast him into the sea,] whereupon the great fish swallowed him, for he had been blameworthy. 142 Had he not been one of those who acknowledge the glory of God, 143 he would certainly have remained inside the fish till the Day of Resurrection. 144 ۞ but We caused him to be cast forth on a desert shore, sick [at heart] as he was, 145 And We caused a tree of gourd to grow above him; 146 And [then] We sent him [once again] to [his people,] a hundred thousand [souls] or more: 147 and they believed in him: so We let them live in ease for a while. 148 Now ask them their opinion: Is it that thy Lord has (only) daughters, and they have sons?- 149 Or, did We create the angels females while they were witnessing? 150 Is it not that they say, from their own invention, 151 " Allah has begotten," and indeed, they are liars. 152 Hath He chosen daughters above sons? 153 What is the matter with you? How judge ye? 154 Will you then not take heed? 155 Do you have any clear authority for such claims? 156 Bring your Book, if you are truthful. 157 They assert kinship between Him and the angels. But the angels know that they (the liars) will be arraigned (in Hell). 158 (They say): “Exalted be Allah above what they attribute to Him, 159 Not thus, however, [behave] God's true servants: 160 So surely you and what you worship, 161 Can tempt anyone to rebel against Him. 162 except for he who shall roast in Hell. 163 [All forces of nature praise God and say:] "Among us, too, there is none but has a place assigned to it [by Him]; 164 We are surely those who are arranged in ranks. 165 "And we are verily those who declare (Allah's) glory!" 166 And they surely were wont to say: 167 "If we had a message from [those of] the former peoples, 168 we would certainly be true servants of God." 169 But (now that the Qur'an has come), they reject it: But soon will they know! 170 for, long ago has Our word gone forth unto Our servants, the message-bearers, 171 That they would certainly be assisted, 172 And [that] indeed, Our soldiers will be those who overcome. 173 So turn thou aside from them for a season. 174 And watch, for they will (soon) see. 175 What, do they seek to hasten Our punishment? 176 When it descends into their courtyard, it will be terrible for those who have already been warned. 177 So turn away from them for a while. 178 And see, for they are going to see. 179 Too glorious is your Lord, the Lord of power, for what they ascribe to Him. 180 Peace be upon the Messengers 181 And all the praise and thanks be to Allah, Lord of the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns and all that exists). 182
True are the words of God the Almighty.
End of Surah: The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat). Sent down in Mecca after Animals (Al-An 'aam) before Luqmaan (Luqmaan)
