Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
I swear by the emissary winds, sent one after another (for men's benefit), 1 by (the angels) as swift as blowing winds, 2 By those which cause earth's vegetation to revive; 3 separating one from another, 4 By those who bring down the Reminder, 5 By way of excuse or warning. 6 Verily that which ye are promised is about to befall. 7 When the stars lose their light, 8 when heaven shall be split 9 and when the mountains are scattered like dust, 10 and when the messengers are brought together at the appointed time -- 11 For what Day are these signs postponed? 12 To the day of decision. 13 How will you comprehend what the Day of Judgement is? 14 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 15 Destroyed We not the ancients? 16 and make others settle after them in their land? 17 Thus deal We ever with the guilty. 18 And such fruits as they desire. 19 Did We not create you from contemptible water? 20 which We placed within a sure lodging 21 For a known calculated term. 22 Thus We have determined the stages of development and Our power to determine is excellent indeed. 23 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 24 Did We not make the earth a storehouse? 25 Of the living and the dead? 26 and have We not set on it proud, firm mountains, and given you sweet water to drink? 27 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 28 (It will be said:) "Depart ye to that which ye used to reject as false! 29 Walk on to the covering having three branches, 30 (Which yet is) no relief nor shelter from the flame. 31 it throws spits as (high as a huge) palace, 32 As if they were yellowish [black] camels. 33 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 34 That will be the Day on which they will not (be able to) utter a word, 35 nor shall they be permitted to offer excuses. 36 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 37 This is the Day of Decision, We have assembled both ye and the ancients. 38 If now ye have any wit, outwit Me. 39 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 40
