The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
۞ Magnify the Name of thy Lord the Most High 1 who has created and shaped, 2 And Who has measured (preordainments for each and everything even to be blessed or wretched); then guided (i.e. showed mankind the right as well as wrong paths, and guided the animals to pasture); 3 who brought forth the pasturage 4 And then makes it dark stubble. 5 We shall enable thee to recite, and then thou shalt not forget, 6 save what God may will [thee to forget] - for, verily, He [alone] knows all that is open to [man's] perception as well as all that is hidden [from it] 7 We shall ease thee unto the Easing. 8 Therefore advise, if advising is beneficial. 9 and he who fears shall remember, 10 but aloof from it will remain that most hapless wretch 11 Who will enter the great Fire and made to taste its burning, 12 in which he will neither die nor live therein. 13 He has certainly succeeded who purifies himself 14 And remembers (glorifies) the Name of his Lord (worships none but Allah), and prays (five compulsory prayers and Nawafil additional prayers). 15 Nay (behold), ye prefer the life of this world; 16 although the life to come is better and more enduring. 17 This is what is written in the ancient heavenly Books, 18 Writs of Ibrahim and Musa. 19
