96 verses, revealed in Mecca after T H (Taa Haa) before The Poets (Alshu'araa')
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
۞ When the Event (the resurrection) comes 1 there will be nought that could give the lie to its having come to pass, 2 abasing, exalting, 3 When the earth is shaken with a shock 4 And the mountains shall be made to crumble with (an awful) crumbling, 5 So that they become dust seattered. 6 and you shall be three bands -- 7 Then (there will be) the Companions of the Right Hand;- What will be the Companions of the Right Hand? 8 And there shall be such as will have lost themselves in evil: oh, how [unhappy] will be they who have lost themselves in evil! 9 Then the foremost, how pre-excellent, 10 Who will be honoured 11 In gardens of bliss [will they dwell] 12 A number of people from those of old, 13 And a few of those (foremost) will be from the later time (generations). 14 On thrones decorated, 15 Reclining on them, facing each other. 16 There will circulate among them young boys made eternal 17 With vessels, pitchers and a cup [of wine] from a flowing spring - 18 Wherefrom they get no aching of the head nor any madness, 19 along with fruits of their choice; 20 And meat of birds that they may wish. 21 And [for them are] fair women with large, [beautiful] eyes, 22 Like pearls safely hidden. 23 The reward for what they did. 24 They will not hear any useless speech in it, or any sin. 25 Only the saying, "Peace! Peace". 26 As for the People on the Right, how fortunate shall be the people on the Right! 27 They will live amid the thornless lot trees 28 And plantains laden with fruit. 29 And in everlasting shade. 30 By water flowing constantly, 31 and an abundance of fruits, 32 That will neither finish, nor ever be stopped. 33 And carpets raised. 34 Perfectly We formed them, perfect, 35 and shall have made them virgins, 36 Loving companions matched in age, 37 with those who have attained to righteousness: 38
