۞ God says, "Do not worship two gods. There is only One God. Have fear of Me". 51 To Him belongs whatsoever is in the heavens and on the earth, and obedience is due to Him alone. Will you then fear anyone other than God? 52 And whatsoever of favour is with you is from Allah; then when distress toucheth you, unto Him ye cry out. 53 Yet when He removes the evil from you, lo! a party of you associate others with their Lord; 54 That they may show ingratitude for that which We have vouchsafed unto them. Enjoy then, presently ye shall know. 55 And they (even) assign, to things they do not know, a portion out of that which We have bestowed for their sustenance! By Allah, ye shall certainly be called to account for your false inventions. 56 They assign daughters to Allah - glory be to Him - whereas they assign to themselves what they truly desire! 57 for, whenever any of them is given the glad tiding of [the birth of] a girl, his face darkens, and he is filled with suppressed anger, 58 He hides himself from the people because of the evil of that which is announced to him. Shall he keep it with disgrace or bury it (alive) in the dust? Now surely evil is what they judge. 59 Those who believe not in the world to come, theirs is the evil likeness; God's is the loftiest likeness; He is the All-mighty, the All-wise. 60
